JAY-Z SIGNS $150 MILLION DEAL WITH LIVENATION

This video is from Reuters and talks about Jay-Z's new record deal with LiveNation that is reported to be $150 million. Jay-Z definitely won on this deal because no other label could offer this much. However, it's a risk and a big one for LiveNation, who along with Jay, is experimenting with a new model to earn money through music. Seeing that record sales are doing bad and iTunes is the biggest seller of music, people question whether LiveNation's approach with Jay-Z is the right way to do it. They say maybe things should go digital, while LiveNation does more with live shows and merchandise.

Carter 3 Pushed Back! New release date June 10!

What the hell is the hold up? The Carter 3 was slated for being released May 15, but now apparently it has been pushed back to June.

Wayne is the king right now and his name is buzzing, so he should know what he's doing, but he should watch it because his popularity could dwindle in the next month. Not likely, but possible.

If we recall, Carter 2 dropped in 2005. It went Platinum and Carter 1 went Gold.

Wayne's goal is to try to make music on this album that will stick with you forever, and this is why he's taking his time with the album. He wants to put songs that he did collabs with people he respects and admires, not ones his label set up.

Hopefully this doesn't kill Wayne's buzz, but I guess it's keeping the word "Carter 3" in our minds.

OFFICIALS TRY TO KEEP SNOOP DOGG BANNED IN THE UNITED KINGDOM

The UK has recently challenged a ruling that is currently keeping Snoop Dogg out of the country as a result of a brawl that he and his entourage were a part of in early 2007. Snoop Dogg has apparently been trying to get back in the country and an official accepted his appeal. The hearing is to take place around the 7th of April. He comments that people in the UK only think about the negative past experiences that they hear about when they hear the name Snoop Dogg, but they ignore the positive things that he does for his family and community.

JAY-Z AND BEYONCE : A MARRIED COUPLE

According to many sources, Jay-Z and Beyonce recently got married and had an extravagant event for all of their closest friends to celebrate the wedding. There have yet to be any updates on the two's actual marital status, but many sources are saying that they are in fact married.

Among the attendees at this event were Kelly Rowland, Michelle Williams, Solange Knowles Gwyneth Paltrow and husband Chris Martin of Coldplay, Beyonce's parents and Jay-Z's mother.

None of the guests were allowed to bring in cameras or cell phones into this event. Drivers were scheduled for the event only 3 days prior without any description of what the job was for and a preacher went into the building earlier that day, indicating a wedding was taking place.

50 SAYS YOUNG BUCK HAS NO REASON TO COMPLAIN ABOUT MONEY

50 Cent has gone on to downplay rumors Young Buck and G Unit beefing, more specifically over money. He said that in order for buck to validate himself as a man, he has to go against what 50's doing.

50 and the G Unit crew have been working like crazy on making mixtape tracks and building buzz back up like they used to have when 50 first got signed to Shady/Aftermath. The reason for this is that Interscope did little to help their poorly selling albums, so they are flooding the streets.

The first G Unit mixtape in several years called Return of the Body Snatchers only featured 50 Cent, Lloyd Banks, and Tony Yayo. Apparently the mixtape was recorded entirely in a weekend when Buck was on a separate tour, and wasn't even aware that the new material was being put together.

Recently things appeared to be different, when only the Queens native G Unit members were present during interviews, while their southern counterpart Young Buck was missing from interviews and went on in other interviews to talk about the distancing him and 50 have been doing. In one interview, Young Buck went on to say that he didn't receive a royalty check from G Unit his entire time with them.

50 Cent counters this statement by saying that each G Unit member has earned $10 million during their careers with him (only talking about the artists who actually had album releases). 50 Cent goes on to say that they have seen $10 million through their career, but what they've done with it is not his business.

Also he commented on the speculation of beef between the crew and more specifically between himself and Buck. He says that it isn't as big of a deal as everyone's making it out to be and that their photoshoot for XXL was ordinary and there was no tension.

T.I. HOUSE ARREST RULES...FREE TO DO ANYTHING HE WANTS...

After T.I. sightings have been spreading around after his recent sentence, a recent interview with T.I.'s lawyer has determined the status of where and when Tip can go places outside of his home.

It was previously thought that T.I. was on house arrest, but his lawyer reveals that he is actually able to go places between certain times, like a curfew.

When T.I. is not working, his curfew is 11 p.m. to 6 a.m, but when he is working it's 1 a.m. to 8 a.m.

Between the hours that curfew doesn't apply, Tip is free to leave his home and go places. He is followed around by a full time monitor and needs permission to leave town and permission is given to do community service or work.

SOULJA BOY TOUR POSTPONED TIL SEPTEMBER

Rumor has it that Soulja Boy's tour is being postponed until September. Some are raising the question if Soulja Boy will be relevant by September since he isn't lyrical and only makes "pop" or "clubby" music that fades away fast. It might be a bad move to have a tour almost a year after you drop an album.

MUSIC DOWNLOADS ADDED TO YOUR INTERNET BILL?

A Warner Music Group exec is pushing a new idea to charge internet providers an extra fee which goes straight to the subscriber/customer to allow people unlimited downloads of mp3's and other media. They say that the additional fee would be about 5 dollars added to your internet bill and it would be a legal alternative to illegally downloading music through sharing networks.

However, this may not be fair to add an extra 5 dollars to someone's bill when they don't even download music through P2P networks and download other things illegally. The Music Industry needs to learn to stop being so money hungry and stop putting out trashy music to bring record sales back up. They are looking for money instead of fixing their quality issues with the product.

T.I. STEPS AWAY FROM SIGNATURE SOUND ON NEW ALBUM PAPER TRAIL

After going platinum on his last go round, T.I. decided to veer away from his style that he used on his most recent album T.I. vs. T.I.P. using the paperless raps and going straight into the booth ala Jay-Z and Lil Wayne to drop his tracks. After his gun charges, T.I. is apparently trying to regain connections with his old producers to get back his old sound.

DJ Toomp, who produced other T.I. hits like 24's, U Don't Know Me, and What You Know is back to producing for T.I. on the album Paper Trail, whcih he said some compare to 2Pac's Me Against The World.

Because of his sentence, the album will have about 1 year to be completed and promoted before T.I. has to go to jail for 366 days.

50 CENT DISAGREES WITH EMINEM ON MIXTAPES, NO BEEF WITH RICK ROSS

50 Cent admit that his disappearance from the mixtape circuit is what hurt him recently when he was advised to fall back by his label Interscope, and Eminem. They told him that he should stay away from mixtapes because they cut down his total sales since he's giving the material away for free. That was about the same time DJ Drama and Don Cannon were having problems with the RIAA raid.

50 realized his mistake and has dropped A LOT of new mixtape material in the last few months to make up for his absence.

He said that they (Eminem and Interscope) think he's crazy because of the mixtapes he does. He said in an interview how Eminem questions why he puts it out like that, and 50 explains to us that he couldn't be as hot as he is in the streets if he didn't put out the free material. He also explains that he will put out the best final product if he does the mixtapes to build the buzz.

Also recently online, 50 Cent had a Fat Joe Funeral after reading the soundscan numbers from Fat Joe's Elephant In The Room album that recently dropped. He went on to talk about Rick Ross on the video and many speculated that 50 was taking shots at Ross and warning him not to mess with 50.

Rick Ross is doing good," 50 explained in the interview. "I also complimented him that he had the #1 album. I said, 'Just don't stand too close to this fat piece of ...' I'm saying that because of what [Joe's] trying to do. He runs to Miami and hangs out with them like he's running Miami? Does Fat Joe run Miami? I don't think Fat Joe runs Miami. I think people from Miami would be upset you're even questioning that. The fact he can influence DJ Khaled on the radio, does that mean Fat Joe runs Miami? ... I don't care if [Khaled] ever plays my records. He's not important enough to what I'm doing for it to matter. Not to say Miami doesn't count. He doesn't count for it to matter to me."

MAX B SHOT?

Word is that Max B has been shot twice last night. They say he was shot once in the arm and once in the side and was rushed to a hospital. He decided to opt out of staying at the hospital to stay at home and stresses that he is currently in critical condition. Max wanted to assure fans of his safety and said "look out for Domain Pain, the mixtape."

50 CENT PREVIEWS G UNIT ALBUM AT HIS MANSION...CALLS 'CURTIS' A DUD

According to MTV, 50 Cent was previewing his G Unit album coming out soon for them and he went online recently to say that it was a 'dud' and isn't afraid to admit that. He admits that there were hit records on the album, but the timing was not good for their releases. He suggested that if "I Get Money" came out as the first single, that sales would have increased heavily.

Another place where 50 blames himself is the fact that he didn't build up to the release of Curtis with mixtape tracks to get the streets buzzing. He hadn't released mixtape material like this until after Curtis was released. He says that he took bad advice from Interscope.

50 revealed a track "The Party Ain't Over" featuring all the members of G Unit, which is supposed to "appeal to the inner hooligan" in us. Another track he showed was called "Down" produced by Swizz beats. Another record is called "Liar, Liar" where 50 is telling a girl everything she wants to hear when hes not completely sincere.

50 is excited about his mixtape releases coming up and is resuming taking over the streets from which he took a brief get-away. The news of 50 Cent and DJ Drama's G Unit Gangsta Grillz is coming out on the mixtape circuit to help G Unit get back on the top once more. He goes on to say that creating music hasn't been a problem because everyone was hard working in the studio.

On this album, they have to only come hard on one verse so they ended up writing 3 different verses and using the best ones. Interesting technique, definitely be looking forward to the new G Unit projects dropping soon!
